Proud to Be ESG Engaged:
A Milestone That Reflects Our Ongoing Commitment
Sustainable tourism has always been more than a commitment for us, it has been part of how we work, decide and grow. Today, we are pleased to share an important milestone in that journey: AlgarveCycling has been awarded the ESG Engaged seal, a distinction granted by Turismo de Portugal under the Empresas Turismo 360º program.
The recognition was presented on December 10, 2025 at the Fundação Champalimaud in Lisbon, in the presence of Pedro Machado, Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Services, and Carlos Abade, President of Turismo de Portugal. For our team, it was a meaningful reminder that consistent, structured work truly makes a difference.
What This Distinction Represents
The ESG Engaged distinction is awarded to companies that demonstrate a measurable commitment to environmental, social and governance practices. Within the Empresas Turismo 360º framework, organisations are encouraged to analyse how they operate, identify improvements and monitor that evolution with clarity and transparency.
By using a structured approach to ESG reporting, we were able to clearly understand the progress we were making in areas such as:

✅ Improving internal processes and daily operations
✅ Reinforcing collaboration with local communities and partners
For us, this seal confirms something essential: sustainability is not a separate project or a trend, but a principle that shapes our decisions every day, from designing new cycling routes to caring for our fleet and building long-term partnerships across the Algarve.
