Terms & Conditions for Cycling Holidays:

1. Booking Confirmation:

· Your booking constitutes a binding agreement for the cycling holiday.

· Ensure that you understand and agree to the terms outlined herein.

· LISA BIKES Ltd. organises all presented vacation deals and tours on this Website and is your contractual partner.

· Bookings can be made by e-mail or website.

· After 1-5 working days you will receive a written confirmation by e-mail that the reservation has been accepted.

2. Execution of the contract and payment:

· For Individual Tours: A deposit of 200€ per person per booking is due upon booking confirmation.

· The balance payment is due 30 days before starting the tour.

· For Group Tours: A deposit of 200€ per person per booking is due upon booking confirmation.

· The balance payment is due 60 days before starting the tour.

3. Cancellation before the start of the trip or shortening of the trip, for Individual Tours:

· The customer may cancel the tour at any time. Cancellation must be made in writing, and the following cancellation policy applies:

a. Up to 28 days (inclusive) before arrival: 200€ per person per booking

b. Up to 21 days (inclusive) before arrival: 40% of the package

c. Up to 14 days (inclusive) before arrival: 60% of the package

d. Up to 07 days (inclusive) before arrival: 80% of the package

e. Up to 01 day (inclusive) before arrival: 90% of the package

· If the customer of LISA BIKES Ltd. provides replacement participants, no cancellation compensation is required.

· If the customer is not available due to incapability (e.g., due to illness, premature return, etc.), he is not entitled to a pro-rata refund of the price.

4. Cancellation before the start of the trip or shortening of the trip, for Group Tours:

· The customer may cancel the tour at any time. Cancellation must be made in writing, and the following cancellation policy applies:

a. Up to 60 days (inclusive) before arrival: 200€ per person per booking

b. Up to 45 days (inclusive) before arrival: 40% of the package

c. Up to 28 days (inclusive) before arrival: 60% of the package

d. Up to 14 days (inclusive) before arrival: 80% of the package

e. Up to 01 day (inclusive) before arrival: 90% of the package

· If the customer of LISA BIKES Ltd. provides replacement participants, no cancellation compensation is required.
· If the customer is not available due to incapability (e.g., due to illness, premature return, etc.), he is not entitled to a pro-rata refund of the price.

5. Accommodations:

· Accommodations are based on availability and may be subject to change. Any changes will be communicated promptly.

6. Bicycle Rental:

· The rental of bicycles is not included in the package.

· All bike models are subject to availability.

· Additional charges may apply for premium or specialised bike models.

7. Values to be Paid in Case of Loss or Theft:

· eMTB - 3,200€

· MTB Premium - 900€

· MTB - 700€

· eTRK - 3,000€

· TRK - 700€

8. Insurance options:

a. Basic (Included with Cycling Holidays)

  • Medical Treatment up to 2.500€ & DBA 15.000€.
  • Covers unintentional bike damages up to 300€.

b. Classic

  • Medical Treatment up to 4.400€ & DBA 25.000€.
  • Covers unintentional bike damages up to 500€.
  • One free 09-18h Road Accident Assistance
  • One Day Road Bike Mechanical Assistance fee at 50%

c. Plus

  • Medical Treatment up to 4.400€ & DBA 25.000€.
  • Covers unintentional bike damages up to 1.000€
  • 24h Road Accident Assistance
  • One free Day Road Bike Mechanical Assistance
  • Bike theft covered up to 50%

These insurance policies cover cycling tours with and without a guide in the Algarve and Alentejo, teambuilding activities and low-risk sports, with an age limit of 75 years.
Please note that for clients exceeding this age limit, participation in our activities is at their own risk, and we strongly advise securing a suitable personal travel and health insurance.

These insurance policies do not cover radical sports, races or similar events.

9. Itinerary Changes:

· The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, unforeseen circumstances, or other factors. Alternative arrangements will be made when necessary.

10. Travel Insurance:

· AlgarveCycling strongly recommends that you obtain travel insurance to cover unforeseen events, cancellations, or medical emergencies.

11. Participant Responsibilities:

· Participants are responsible for their fitness level and ensuring that they can handle the physical demands of the cycling holiday. Follow safety guidelines provided during the trip.

12. Liability:

· We are liable under the duty of care for the accuracy of the description of all services on this website, for the proper selection and placement of the service providers (hotels, transport companies, etc.), and a conscientious preparation and settlement.

· You take part in the tours at your own risk. Each participant is solely responsible for ensuring the health conditions requirements for the booked tours. Each participant is responsible for compliance with the Highway Code by itself.

· Our liability, regardless of the legal reason, is limited in total to the amount of three times the price if the damage has been proven to be caused by us. If there are objections of unexpected reason, you have to communicate them to us in writing immediately.

· Jurisdiction in case of any disputes is Faro.


Liability Limitation: The company's liability, no matter the legal grounds (e.g., breach of contract, negligence, etc.), is capped. The maximum amount the company would be responsible for paying in case of proven damages is three times the price of the service or product.
Proven Damage: The limitation applies only if it can be proven that the damage was caused by the company.
Objections: If there are any objections or issues arising from unexpected circumstances, the customer must notify the company immediately in writing. This likely refers to unforeseen issues that could impact the service or product and might be grounds for a complaint or claim.

13. Insurance:

· Our exclusive service provider partner in Portugal is the travel agency Lisa Bikes Limitada which operates in Portugal under the Tourism National Agency number RNAVT 5114, ensuring compliance with EU liability insurance requirements for travel agencies. 14. Complaints Resolution:

· For the resolution of complaints, please contact the AlgarveCycling team.

· The consumer has access to the electronic complaints register at www.livroreclamacoes.pt, where he may submit his complaint.


By proceeding with your cycling holiday booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the AlgarveCycling Team before finalising your reservation.

Terms & Conditions for Bike Rental:

Please carefully review the following terms and conditions before proceeding with the bike rental:

1. Rental Agreement:

· By renting a bike, you enter into a binding agreement with the rental company. Ensure you understand and agree to the terms outlined herein.

2. Equipment Responsibility:

· Clients are responsible for all equipment provided and must return it in the same condition.

· Any loss, damage, or theft of the equipment is the client's financial responsibility.

3. Financial Liability:

· In case of total loss or damage to the bike or accessory, the client agrees to pay the full value.

· Clients are liable for the repair cost for any damages caused during the rental period.

4. Return of Rental Equipment:

· All rental equipment must be returned on the agreed date and time. Late returns may incur additional charges.

5. Reporting Damages:

· Clients must report any defects or damages to the bike or equipment at the time of collection.

· Charges for scratches: <1 cm = 5€, 1-5 cm = 10€, and >5 cm = 20€.

· Charges for damages: subject to evaluation.

6. Safety and Misuse:

· The rental company is not responsible for accidents due to equipment misuse.

· Bikes should not be used in competitions or as learning tools, and riders must be proficient in bicycle operation.

7. Safety Recommendations:

· Avoid riding alone in remote areas. If doing so, ensure you have a charged phone and a planned route.

8. Consumer Complaints:

· For the resolution of complaints, please contact the Algarve Cycling team.

· The consumer has access to the electronic complaints register at www.livroreclamacoes.pt, where he may submit his complaint.

9. Payment Policy:

·To confirm a bike rental, a deposit of 50% of the total amount is required.

·The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 1 month prior to the rental start date.

· eTOU PLUS - 3,400 €

12. Insurance options:

  • Covers unintentional bike damages up to 500€.
  • One free 09-18h Road Accident Assistance
  • One Day Road Bike Mechanical Assistance fee at 50%

c. Plus

  • Medical Treatment up to 2.500€ & DBA 15.000€.
  • Covers unintentional bike damages up to 1.000€
  • 24h Road Accident Assistance
  • One free Day Road Bike Mechanical Assistance
  • Bike theft covered up to 50%

13. Values for Roadside Bike Assistance:

· Roadside Assistance fees vary by zone, and the first tire tube is provided for free, other parts are not included.

· In case of Roadside Bike Assistance in the Algarve the following values are applicable:

a. Zone A - 0 KM a 15 KM from Faro - 20 €

b. Zone B - 15 KM a 45 KM from Faro - 40 €

c. Zone C - 45 KM a 70 KM from Faro - 80 €

d. Zone D - 70 KM a 150 KM from Faro - 150 €

e. Zone E - 150 KM OR MORE from Faro - on request

· Roadside Assistance services carry a €20 fee for requests made on weekends and bank holidays.

· Roadside Assistance services incur an additional €20 fee for requests outside our standard working hours of 09:00 to 18:00.

· Roadside assistance services outside the Algarve region are not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

· The customer may cancel the rental at any time. Cancellation must be made in writing, and the following cancellation policy applies:

a. Up to 28 days (inclusive) before arrival: 20 € per person per rental

b. Up to 21 days (inclusive) before arrival: 25% of the package

c. Up to 7 days (inclusive) before arrival: 50% of the package

d. Up to 3 days (inclusive) before arrival: 75% of the package

e. Up to 1 day (inclusive) before arrival: 90% of the package

· If the customer of LISA BIKES Ltd. provides replacement participants, no cancellation compensation is required.

· If the customer is not available due to incapability (e.g., due to illness, premature return, etc.), he is not entitled to a pro-

· rata refund of the price.

15. Use of Rental bikes for competitions:

Use of LISA BIKES Ltd. rental bikes in radical sports, competitions or similar events must be declared at the time of booking and is subject to approval. Additional terms and conditions apply.

16. Sustainable and Responsible Bike and Parts Usage:

LISA BIKES Ltd. rental bikes equipped with tubeless tyre sets may be temporarily fitted with an inner tube to allow full use of the tyre until it is completely worn.
