Our team combines high-quality equipment, carefully designed routes, and local knowledge to give you a cycling holiday that feels reliable, authentic, and completely your own.

Our Story

Our journey began more than a decade ago as Lisa Bikes, inspired by a love of cycling and the landscapes of southern Portugal. In 2020, under new ownership, the company evolved into AlgarveCycling, embracing a broader vision of premium rentals and meaningful cycling experiences that highlight the region’s nature, culture, and everyday life.

Today, we blend deep local roots with a professional, sustainability-focused approach to active travel.

Premium Bike Rentals

Your bike sets the tone for your entire trip, so we take this part seriously. Our road, gravel, MTB, trekking, and e-bikes are maintained with care and adjusted individually for comfort and performance - whether you want a gentle coastal ride or a few rewarding climbs inland.

Guided & Self-Guided Cycling Experiences

If you're dreaming of a cycling holiday, we offer routes that combine beautiful stages with comfortable hotels and smooth luggage transfers. You can choose to ride with one of our local guides who know the region far beyond the maps or explore independently with our route notes, GPS tracks, and help whenever you need it. Each itinerary is crafted to show you a different side of the Algarve, suited to your level and interests.

Bespoke Cycling Adventures

If you want something truly your own, we can design a tailor-made trip from scratch. Together, we plan distances, pacing, accommodation style, and logistics, or add special touches like wine tastings, visits to local producers, or regional food experiences. Whether you're travelling solo, with a partner, or in a small group, we build a holiday that reflects how you like to travel, with our team supporting you along the way.
